Brian DeFeeBrian DeFeeBrian DeFee is a Managing Director for the Fund Management team in charge of Investor Relations and Marketing. He joined Commerce Street in June, 2009.
Mr. DeFee has many years of experience in various capacities of the public and private equity markets. Most recently he was a Vice President for the U.S. investment team of Capital Dynamics, a Swiss-based private equity asset manager, where he focused on private equity fund investments including middle market buyout, venture capital, distress debt and other opportunities. Prior to that Mr. DeFee co-led the marketing efforts for Paul Capital Investments, the private equity fund of funds business of Paul Capital Partners. Mr. DeFee gained considerable capital-raising and investment banking experience initially as an Analyst with J.P. Morgan's Equity Capital Markets Group, raising over $2 billion in equity capital for technology companies, and subsequently as an Associate with Wachovia's International Corporate Finance group.
Mr. DeFee received an undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a focus in Finance from the University of Colorado at Boulder and an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management where he graduated with honors. He holds multiple securities licenses.
